Then there’s also the current cool kids reporting direct from Africa: @thecontinent.org , and if you prefer a bit more in-depth audio reports, there’s the BBC “from our own correspondent” podcast.

I guess they were looking for a Marvel story instead, and fail to see what’s happened right before their eyes. For similar content, there’s a book by Martin Bell (former BBC correspondent covering the Balkan conflict), and there’s of course the scifi journalism comic Transmetropolitan.

It’s a documentary, but it reminded me a lot of “war photographer”: about James Nachtwey.

That was a surprisingly powerful movie. Bit sad it wasn’t correctly advertised in my view and it didn’t get the traction it deserved.
