It happened again! A strong line of storms approaching from the west I'd been watching on radar. I'm taking things inside and anticipating rain for my garden, only to have them dissipate at the city limits.

It is as if the storm took one look at Raleigh property taxes and decided to circumvent.

So majestic!

How do you feel after a 16 hours ride? I only have cycling to compare with (24HB charity ride) and it's kinda brutal.

No push pedals on your bike tho and you're moving just slightly faster :-P

Very nearly! It was a disintegrating plastic coupling that contacts the upper clutch sensor. So many rubber and plastic parts fail after a car is >20 years old.

I had an appointment for state inspection. The Honda said, "Ha HA! No..."

Maybe! There's pleochroism in that feather, though, so it shows quite red from some angles (but still less vibrant and a different hue to Gracie's feather).

It is indeed! This one's stayed at the front since you gifted me one. She has pretty feathers. The red's more vibrant than even what I believe is a cardinal feather to the left (tho it shows somewhat brown from this angle).

Repointed my feather display after finding the hawk feather you see at the back on this morning’s walk.

I also found yet another of the neon yellow shafted feather you see on the right. I’d not noticed these before but now I’ve found 3 in a month!

Ahhh, so you caught her at a well-behaved moment! She's sitting quite regal in this pic.

Evidently she does a lot less hiding at the vet than my cat Spyro :-P

I delivered my diatribe and let the bolts fly. I'm not one to seek release by expression of anger but it does feel good to have done a reasonably-measured something about an issue. If it comes back I don't mind taking a fall for principle and ethic.

Somatic work taught me mindfulness. Crossing a threshold count of finding my face in my hands tells it's time to act. I'm often last to remain reasonable but I'm going to war at work tomorrow. Thoughtful, diligent, persistent. 3 traits you don't want in opposition. Cry havoc, I'm done with this shit
