Doors installed. Took way too long.

I need to throw out half the stuff that I think needs to be in there.

But how do we get these know-nothings to stop mocking the rest of the world while at work? I know FB is a great place for that stuff, but at work it bothers me.

I need to hang doors on three bookcases and get them secured to the wall.

Then fill them up with the stuff that should be stored there.

Then start on getting my doors ready for taxes.

Yesterday I moved my rower & bike to another room so that I could have a nice living room again.

I cleaned out a filing cabinet. That’s was a fun trip down memory lane.

I’m going to keep chipping away at these tasks that I dread doing. At least I get a good dopamine hit seeing them done

I managed to do 3 technical debt jobs that I had been putting off too long: replaced my abandonware Nest thermostat with a new ecobee.

Chipped out the ice mountain the city has left at the end of my driveway.

Replaced the firetrap dryer vent stuff. Got rid of 90% of it that was flexible foil

That’s my fear all along. The total lack of due process and the lack of will to protect freedoms is beyond awful.

I do kit tolerate bigots well at work. Had an exec who used every racist trope “as a joke”. I would call him out on it and he would say I was inappropriate by doing that.

That’s how I feel about it. I’m fortunate that crossing the border here involves crossing at the Toronto airport, which means it would be difficult to detain or brutalize people just trying to cross. Rejdction at the border just means walking back to your car.
