The subject is The Gloucester Mariners Project.

For those researching early 17th Century Gloucestershire, I would recommend looking at Men and Armour from 1608. This can be found on Coaley.net, and can be searched by name and parish.

every month, we cover a different parish in the County, with the aim of giving some background to those researchers who are not local.
This month, we are looking at Tirley, in the NE corner of Gloucestershire, just south of Tewkesbury. Most of the parish is low-lying and vulnerable to flooding.
