My friend died and no one talks about how it happened so I think it was an over dose. It hurts to know I can’t hug her again or ask what she thinks.

imo, the reason women of color and especially trans women of color are stereotyped as angry is because we are constantly mistreated by white people, including those in our communities, and the response is either righteous anger or deep sadness that would eventually lead to suicide. I choose anger.

Honestly we are terrified every day and I do the most just to self care and feel okay. Family and community relying on me heavily right now. I can barely look at my school work. Thankful for my job. Wonder what a therapist of color could do for me.

I started talking about some of my convos in BIPOC LGBTQ+ group about being sexualized and I felt super self aware suddenly.

It’s 3am 🕒 I need to talk to my therapist. 💗 Sometimes I’m worried when I talk about white people perceiving me to them that I will be taken the wrong way by her.
