I have decided the consequences are worth it

For the curious I did A until my phone battery ran out then moved to my PC for C (leveled my Warlock in WoW). Finally tired enough for sleep. 😴 Nighty night.

Was laying in bed, falling asleep, remembered I forgot to take out the trash bins. Get up and do that. Sleep now seems like an impossibly. Now do I

B) Read a book
C) Turn my PC back on to play more WoW or DQ7

My mom's family has had it's 4th death in a year. My grandpa passed last spring, his youngest sister followed him over the summer. My great uncle (that same aunt's husband) passed last fall. As of this morning my parents found my aunt's body (mom's younger sister). I'm so so tired.

Yup! Mostly it's my extra characters from unlocking all the heritage armors, but I've collected random alts I haven't deleted over the years.

What is there to do at 12:30am but embrace the autistic urge to reorganize the characters in your mmo of choice. Need to make sure I have things ready for expansion launch!

Also, not pictured are the 22 other characters I have that are sitting uncategorized because they existed for some other purpose and I don't intend to do anything with them for a while, 👀if ever. So my WoW-tism hasn't completely taken over.

Aside: I promise I don't inflict weird gimmicks on random people in random queues. Deckird gets real play because controller play is valid, but my silly gimmicks are for me and my friends to suffer through. Though I am happy to take ideas for more gimmick characters. I'm a sucker for leveling in WoW

I'm curious how others categorize or track their MMO characters. Do you have a system or is it just chaos beyond "I main this one!"?

Gimmick has my gimmick characters. They have a rule about how I play the character.
Deckird - A character to be played on my Steamdeck.
Shinychaser - If an ability is in Assisted Highlight I may only use it when it is highlighted
Buttonbasher - As above but for One-Button-Rotation

The next four categories contain the other classes in each grouping, ordered by how much I think I want to play them going forward.

The "Mains" category contains my top pick to play in Midnight for each of the categories. Monk, is the all-rounder, having a DPS spec, a Tank spec, and a Healing spec. My priest represents the Healing category, Demon Hunter the Tanks, and Mage the pure DPS. 🧵 3/6

The first 5 categories: Mains, All-Rounder, Heals, Tanks, DPS, collectively have one of each class available at this time (13 total). WoW's classes all have 3 or 4 specs that contain at least 1 DPS spec and some combination of Healing, Tanking, and DPS specs for their other specs. 🧵 2/6

With the release of the WoW Midnight Prepatch I picked up an old goal I set down last time I stopped playing. As of now I've completed the goal of unlocking every racial heritage armor! 24/24 done. My last one was a Mechagnome Assassination Rogue. Glad to be done, now to pick a Midnight Main.

I feel this. I am always in a state of "just get through the next X months/years". Video games, and books, and friends help, but it's just exhausting on a bone deep level right now

I have, I played most of the DS one. The vocation system is my jam and while I like the job/skill system in Octo0 it doesn't compete on the nostalgia and variety for me. It also seems that 7Re will be shorter. The demo cuts the first section way short. It works, but I expect it'll be 60-70hrs.
