Yes. Make it happen.

I do think your right that Mamdani and some of his policies being in the news will naturally bring up a lot more opportunities for people to see and talk about possibilities. I think if they catch on we will see new more accessible language pop up and everyone here will be like, duh it called x.

Its frustrating that most don't and won't ever know the difference. And that most don't want to have a conversation about how they are different. I try to slip the concepts into conversations using normal language. I don't find it to be very effective. Just planting seeds.

Some get there from defiance and know the "Fuck you, I won't do what you tell me." Some get there through studying/academics and have that language. But what version of "Eat the rich" is accessible to suburbia?

There is a lack of connecting the vibe, to a common vocab that everyone finds easy to digest. Some get there thru unions and know the solidarity language.

08.11.2025 13:12 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I think everyone feels/vibes this concept. We just don't talk about it using language that is effective. Some language has been corrupted/perverted and will get tuned out by some groups but not other groups. Some of the academic language will make some groups tune out.

Maybe Elon sees the writing on the wall and is cashing out. Sucks that pension funds will be the ones left holding the bag.

So desperate. Such a turnoff. Cry harder asshole.

Not cool. Sure, kinda, but not really.

The more he/they say D's will do this the more people will vote for D's to do this.

If vibes is defined as having a backbone and being willing to fight then it makes more sense.

04.11.2025 19:39 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Maybe the "Gatsby Class"...

03.11.2025 01:50 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Seems appropriate. I don't think it will catch on though. Maybe "op ed class"?

03.11.2025 01:41 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Agreed. He has a fancy paint job on his ride, but many pols with weaker rides have historically employed the time tested "give them what they want" and it works. D's problem is they are listening to the wrong people. I honestly don't think they know who the right people to listen to are.

It might be time to rebrand "ruling class" with something more appropriate. Maybe the "titanic class"...

4. (Key part) When you get elected give them those 3 things.
5. Next election, repeat process.

03.11.2025 00:36 β€” πŸ‘ 12    πŸ” 1    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Seems so simple doesn't it.

1. Ask voters what they want.
2. Figure out top 3 things voters want and what specifically you can do to give it to them.
3. Campaign on those 3 things. Repeatedly promise those specific things without distraction.

03.11.2025 00:36 β€” πŸ‘ 23    πŸ” 1    πŸ’¬ 3    πŸ“Œ 0

I think its easier to define what they don't want. Empty promises. Ineffectiveness. Voters wanted single payer and got the ACA. It seems clear to me voters are no longer interested in half measures to appease multiple masters and slimy word salad games.

02.11.2025 21:42 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

If you can't see the problem you will not be able to fix it. Someone else who does see it will come along and take advantage. The D's aren't listening to what voters are saying. They think voters are idiots to be told what to do. It has cost them and will continue to cost them.

02.11.2025 21:08 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

How come Mamdani messaging gets through but centrists messaging doesn't? It doesn't matter what your opponents say. It matters what voters are saying they want to vote for.

02.11.2025 20:56 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

False. The lengths to which they are going to make this happen indicates something else is up. Could be trying to tip blue states into a recession. Could be trying to manufacture crime as a justification for troops. I don't know. But its not just spite and pain for poor people.

A third party running candidates as independents has never had a better playing field to gain traction than the current environment. Either Rs or Ds are going to have their party destroyed by what's currently happening. A third party would legitimately be able to say trust us we weren't complicit.

31.10.2025 11:08 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Pundits and reports vastly overestimate the sway they have. How a story is reported or headlined or paneled or framed has less sway than they think. The new information just gets added through a persons existing lense. At the moment that is anti-R. Person to person is what changes hearts and minds.

30.10.2025 21:13 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Isn't every vote "vibe" voting? Want to share the spreadsheet you used to compare policy positions and the voting record data used to verify the candidate would/wouldn't follow through on those positions and weren't just "positioning/lying" to get voters some clown told them they needed to win.

30.10.2025 12:04 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Ffmpeg can add an image to an audio file and output an mp4. I've used it to stream audio in video player web services.

Poll me on x and I'll probably give you a different answer every 30 minutes, because life happens and my mood changes. Polling is dumb.

29.10.2025 18:26 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

It will have regional differences but you could then draw larger issue context. Voters aren't stupid. The methods used to try to extract that information are stupid. And anyone who says they can interpret polls is a charlatan because the data is bad.

29.10.2025 18:26 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Its the wrong question. Voters know that voting isn't fixing the problems. The same problems from the 1960s forward exist today. If you want to know what people want you have to put forward a platform and let people vote on the platform not on pol personalities.

29.10.2025 18:26 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Actions over words. If they started cleaning house and showed they were serious about power sharing with solidarity the message would get out. Its not the messaging. Its the fact none believes any of their words anymore.

27.10.2025 19:36 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Its reductive. If you view him and politics as best at theater you are not devaluing the platform/policies. Do you vote for policies or the performance artist?
