Using the occasion of WEAPONS (and the Silver Surfer) to once again evangelize for Julia Garner in THE ASSISTANT and THE ROYAL HOTEL, two really good/stressful movies from writer/director Kitty Green.

Loved #Weapons. On my way out of cinema I googled bible verses with 2:17.

This one stood out for sure.

I did enjoy it but I had dialed in expectations for extreme Gunn-ness. I thought it was as expected. I was thankful that there was no origin story again.

I like that the original is the high bar for you. Reeves is untouchable in the role… the documentary title Super/Man was earned.
