#TTRPG actual play creators, actors, producers, etc: What advice would you give to a new channel joining the space? Anything you wish you knew when you started or any general tips you can offer?

Thank you! It's been a long road to get here but I am very happy it paid off.

It's kind of a buzzword and varies from game to game. To me, I want a cinematic game to give the players the tools to do cool, impactful stuff regularly that are not beholden to a lot of simulationist designs.

This is awesome, we have a local organization here that promotes TTRPGs and therapy and I think that can be such a great resource and tool for people.

Just ran Rapscallion this past weekend, next week is Fallout, playing Magnus Archives at Dragon Con, and potentially running Daggerheart at some point. Should be a good month!

Just ran the first session of Rapscallion from @magpiegames.bsky.social! I really love the meta-currencies the game offers. It's a bit crunchier than other PBTA games, but offers a lot of depth for players to interact with. A solid #ttrpg I'm excited to explore more!

#ttrpg friends! I'm planning on heading to PAXU again this year, last year was a blast.
I'm currently interested in being part of any panels, if anyone is looking for extra folks. I've got experience in both videogame and TTRPG marketing, I've run convention games, and I have been on actual plays.

I think the film's pacing in the first half is a bit jarring, a lot happens especially in the first 30 mins or so. But I understand why they made those choices and I think the rest of the movie gets extra breathing room because of it.

Lots of really fun scenes overall and a solid win for the MCU.

Saw #fantasticfour last night and it was great! The world building and art direction was top notch. The cast had great chemistry. The characters were written well, especially Johnny and Reed, having more nuance rather than the 'douchebag womanizer' and 'smart guy' cliches we've seen before.

Yeah I usually try to add some interesting aspects to boss fights to give the players some choices to make. It helps things feel more dynamic and even like a puzzle sometimes!

I ran a combat that featured crystals that gave the boss different boons. They could be targeted but took a lot of attention away from the boss, so players had to decide which boons they wanted to focus on destroying and at what point to pivot back to focusing down the boss. It was a fun fight.

There is a lot of shitty stuff going on in the world. I have my own problems, like still being out of a stable job in my mid-30s. Life can be a drag sometimes and the future is uncertain. But it has been nice to celebrate good times surrounded by good people for a bit and take my mind off things. ♥️

Yesterday was my birthday!
I wasn't really excited for it and procrastinated on deciding to celebrate it. But @shaucatcosplay.bsky.social has scheduled surprise hangouts and events all month long. It's been a great time because of the work she put in to make it special.
