Now the Canon...we've had that one since we started printing zines...2020? And it's never been anything but a princess. Slow as frozen molasses running uphill and no native duplexing, but never fails never complains.

As RP says, it's got some drawbacks. It doesn't natively duplex. It's a 6-tank prima donna. It's not the fastest (though it is faster than our Canon Pixma 620), so you'll spend some time babysitting it.

It'll do the job without complaint about 5000 times in a month or so before it throws codes.

We have an Epson EcoTank ET-8550. It's a wide-format, photo-quality printer that was a cover-printing workhorse for us during Dead Belt's print run. But the one we have is technically that one's replacement, so understand that things do go awry based on usage.

Line will always go up if we just make everything cost more.

Littlest Drake just learned that we wrote a mech game and he was insistent that I run it for him. Which I had misgivings about...it centers teenage drama and the struggles of growing up. I should've learned by now that kids know that shit better than any of us.

Also my has rung with the CODEC noise from Metal Gear Solid for like twenty years. So there's a part of me that still does a gruff "Otacon?" whenever my phone rings. Sometimes that part's audible.

I want to say "Mate," but I've been told that's a no go with my British mates.
