I went to ICE HQ today to demand accountability. And then I voted to cut off their funding. I will not give ICE one more dime until its reign of terror ends.

ICE has done nothing but terrorize our communities. I stood with my Democratic colleagues outside ICE HQ to say we will not keep funding an agency this out of control.

On International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we honor the 6 million Jews murdered in the Holocaust and the millions targeted by hate. We remember the lives lost and recommit ourselves to confronting antisemitism, hatred, and injustice wherever they appear.

I sent Sec. Noem a letter in June regarding a U.S. citizen in my district arrested in Pico Rivera. DHS says he “assaulted” an agent, yet key questions about procedure, oversight, and accountability go unanswered.

This is the response we got from Sec. Noem, when I sent a letter in July demanding answers about why her agents urinated on school grounds while students were present. No accountability was taken.

It's disrespectful to our communities, and it's why I cosponsored articles of impeachment against her.

After Republicans let ACA tax credits expire, families are struggling to afford health care while insurance companies post record profits.

I asked CEOs: will they reinvest profits to lower costs for families or just line shareholders’ pockets?

The Trump administration’s unchecked abuse of power has transformed our neighborhoods into warzones where no one feels safe. It must end now!

There must also be a completely independent and fully transparent investigation into these aggressive tactics, and anyone who broke the law must be held accountable.

The majority of House Democrats voted this week to block ICE’s funding and rein in the chaos. The Senate must immediately join us to end the escalation of violence.

The killing of U.S. citizens in our streets falls squarely at Trump’s feet. He is the one who unleashed federal agents to terrorize previously peaceful communities. Agents without training, accountability or respect for human life are not law enforcement – they have become hired assassins.

I just voted to block funding for ICE to end the violence and chaos they're creating in our communities.

ICE is terrorizing people, storming homes without warrants, shooting people in the streets, and using children as bait.

It is horrendous, and it must stop!

ICE detains four children from Minnesota school district, including 5-year-old Columbia Heights Public Schools district officials accused ICE officers of using the 5-year-old “as bait.” A 10-year-old and her mother were also detained.

Using a child as bait to lure his father out is appalling. Congress must stop funding ICE. No federal agency should operate this way.

This has nothing to do with protecting America’s interests. It’s all about Trump’s ego and he is playing dangerously with the economic and military might of the United States.

American families continue to pay the price for the president’s recklessness. The markets are rattled, our economy is weakened and prices keep rising as Americans pay the cost of the tariffs. All while Trump further isolates the United States from the rest of the free world.

President Trump is playing into Russia and China’s hands. They want nothing more than to see NATO and our Western alliances crack. These eight countries are not our adversaries. They are some of our largest trading partners and friends.

President Trump is completely unhinged. He’s weaponizing tariffs against our closest NATO allies because they are defending the sovereignty of another NATO member.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was a man of courage, conviction, and compassion. Today, we honor his life by continuing the work he began—standing up for justice, protecting our communities, and striving every day to live up to his example.

No one, especially public employees serving our community, should be targeted by federal agents because of how they look. ICE’s actions around the country are trampling on civil rights, eroding public trust and terrorizing our communities.

The two Los Angeles County park employees were clearly identifiable. They were in park uniforms and performing work on county park property. ICE agents chose to accost them simply because of the color of their skin.

Federal immigration agents stop, question two LA County employees at Whittier Narrows park Two LA County employees were stopped, questioned and physically assaulted at Whittier Narrows Recreation Area, said Supervisor Hilda Solis.

What happened at Whittier Narrows was not an accident or a misunderstanding – it’s the result of this administration’s targeted, racist immigration agenda.

The fear and chaos the administration is inflicting on our neighborhoods are why I cosponsored articles of impeachment for DHS Secretary Noem. She and ICE must be held accountable for their lawless behavior.

The Trump administration has clearly given ICE the green light to treat being non-white as probable cause for harassment.
