We had a perfect early spring day yesterday. I was trying to capture a video of a quilt blowing in the breeze. The wind, and my dog, had other ideas.

I did eventually get the video but this is too fun not to share. We could all use some more laughter these days.

I'll share my favorite tricks for paper piecing, how I use and measure wonky bits, and how a little pop of color here and there can go a long way. I hope to see you there.

Here's a 17 second time lapse of me designing this quilt. It took many hours of playing around until I got the quilt just so.
I'll be teaching this paper-pieced Best of Show quilt at Road2VA this summer. There are still some spaces available. I'd love it if you join me!

Rarely do I plan a quilt before I make it (I call this designing backwards) but for Therapy and Metamorphosis, I actually had a plan AHEAD of time. It was really nice, to be honest. Regardless of how you design a quilt, it takes time.
