I have finally hit the “I have no idea what the youths are talking about” stage of adulthood.

It’s funny that people get mad about this. I find it hilarious to learn the lore!

Today we finally had a great moment with a person wanting to pet him. The guy listened to my instructions and it was over all a great experience.

Then had a kid run up to us & try to hug Lumos and I had to physically step in front of her because her parent was all “it’s fine, we have a dog” 🫣😑

One of my favorite things about my dog trainer is that he clocked me “not speaking up” — something that I don’t really do outside of work (crazy IK)

And he’s been helping me speak up for my doggos. Considering my puppy is a monthly little gremlin, he doesn’t do well with people trying to pet him.

Shout out to the homies that KNOW that I did RTFM but my issues run deeper, because im in a constant battle with technology. Not like @nicastronaut.bsky.social’s battle with technology… I don’t break things just by looking at it or being in proximity to it…

But it is still next level.

My therapist likes to remind me - professionally calling someone out for over stepping their role & butting into everyone’s work & then turning around and publicly taking credit for it all… is a thing that can happen & is healthy to do.

Still scared to do it tho 😞 well okay maybe I’m just tired.

Nox: a “sometimes I’ll work - but only if you give me a pup cup and I’ll can sit in front of the fan on my cot so I can see outside” dog.

Lumos: “you better get that ball out so we can play and train or else I’ll eat your shoes 🔫” dog.

I thought it was a Monday this morning. And a Monday Friday is worse than a Monday Tuesday.

My favorite part of dog training is when I get to sit in the park with my puppy and just watch him experience the world.

He doesn’t destroy it (outside of the teeth marks from him carrying it with his razor teeth…) he just puts it next to him and doesn’t let Nox near it. He will also hand it to me if I ask him. He will get smart one day and demand payment… but we are all confused as to why this is happening 🤣🤣🤣

The world is falling apart because commander in chief Cheeto, but Nox, Lumos and me are just chillin here trying to figure out why Lumos does the things he does.

For instance, Lumos’ new joy in life is to sneak into the bathroom and steal a new roll of toilet paper to put next to him on the couch.

Sometimes I wonder how puppy #2 is so crazy then it occurred to me… I put him to bed saying “good night mister, tomorrow you’ll be one day older, one day wiser and have one more day to fuck shit up.”

And that affirmation really has rooted deep within this chaos monster
