I think Gaza policy is a major factor in why many people stayed home. They didn’t vote for the monster, but were ambivalent about supporting Harris in states like NY, CA and MA. They cld protest non-vote and she’d still win.

Harris ran a good campaign. One big mistake was not separating from Biden on Gaza. It’s likely why she lost the popular vote with people just sitting out.

A Trump campaign in 2028 would likely damage the Republicans as it’s clear he has reminded people how much they hated him in 2020.

Mittens (not just fingered gloves), good boots, and scarves make all the difference.

Truly President Obama spent too long trying to accommodate the Republicans. It was a mistake, but lots of Dems are (or were) pro accommodation.

I’m beginning to see what may be a chance for deep positive change. I expect another Trump disaster - likely a deep economic downturn when the AI bubble pops - maybe that will be an opportunity to turn the U.S. into a modern democracy with a fully updated constitution.

It’s a dream at least.
