I was rereading some old philosophy texts and came across this idea that all rights are based on a universal core of the right to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.

Seems like it was the divorce album in real time. So many of those songs are about drifting apart or how decisions made and connections left to whither affect the long term.

I think if you really listen to it Weathervanes was the divorce album.

I mean my dogs take it as a regimen as well but they aren’t stupid enough to think it cures cancer. They just like being free of heart worms.

Honestly as an animal advocate my whole life and a vegan for a good part of that time I have settled into what I call a 75% vegan approach. If we all did that factory farms and our health would approve but we could let some of these cravings exist and fit our diet as great apes.

I go back and forth with Christmas Card from a Hooker in Minneapolis by Tom Waits. Together they truly are the only Christmas songs worth listening to though.

Folks like to start that list at Southeastern and for good reason but don’t sleep on the previous album Here We Rest. Great stuff from start to finish as well. One of my favorites.
