12.08.2025 03:12 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I wish the bad blood could end. I wish Iโd never lit the match that ignites the fuel.
But Iโm not going to live inside that guilt. I canโt change the past. God knows Iโve done stupid shit before that, and Iโll probably be guilty of more stupid shit before I die.
Why was this four-year-old drama being dug up again? For entertainment, maybe. Or maybe as a warning to new members. โWE are good, THEY are evil. Make sure not to associate with THOSE people, you might catch the evil too.โ
11.01.2025 16:34 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I hadnโt thought about that shit for years until my wife learned this week that a bunch of folks had blocked her for what seemed like no reason, and learned that the story of that awful time was being rehashed again in the Discord we used to frequent.
11.01.2025 16:34 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I was drunk and angry. I was so depressed that I ended up hospitalized for a month afterward. These are not excuses, Iโm just explaining my mental state at the time. It was wrong and stupid, and I apologized. And Iโll apologize again: I am sincerely sorry for what I said.
11.01.2025 15:49 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 4 ๐ 0Ah, youโre right, I misread the beginning of the review. My mistake!
23.12.2024 02:51 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I think it really shook him, and I hope it stays with him for a long time. He wanted a VN from a guyโs viewpoint paying for a bunch of shallow female archetypes to objectify, and instead he got actual complex characters who broke his misogyny bubble and made him uncomfortable. I love it.
23.12.2024 02:43 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0To me, itโs obvious the reviewer was โsickโ because of the trans content more than anything else. Frankly, his *review* made me sick, and demonstrates toxic masculine ideas of women being either โpromiscuous and looseโ or โpristine and wholesomeโ, and god *forbid* the two ever meet.
23.12.2024 02:39 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Related: Blueskyโs character limit is waaaaay too limiting. Iโve been spoiled by Mastodonโs much wordier allowances.

This is a post about ADHD.

Oh wait, I canโt tell, because Bluesky jumps to the top of my feed every time it refreshes!
I donโt know how yโall use this site when their UX is so horrible. Mastodon and Twitter โ TWITTER โ follow better HCI practices. Thatโs just sad.

06.11.2024 16:08 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0And for those wondering what "Batman's Aff His Nut" sounds like in a proper Glaswegian accent, here's Robert Florence, who penned it, reciting it over a Batman teaser...
31.10.2024 17:48 โ ๐ 338 ๐ 158 ๐ฌ 22 ๐ 12Batmanโs aff his nut Have you seen the way he cuts aboot Dressed up as a mad fuckin bat Batterin guys I was lit at: โMate, Iโm worried aboot ye I know your ma and da died But everybodyโs ma and da dies And weโre no aw runnin aboot Hookin muggers and Kickin psychopaths in the baws.โ And that was when Batman went โAye, but do ye ever feel like it? Do you ever look at the world and feel like it? Like having a big mad base under your hoose? Do you ever feel like drivin a big mad motor that turns intae a tank? And leatherin fuck oot of guys aw night? Scarin the fuckin shite oot of them?โ And thatโs when I was lit at: โAye. Fuck it. Ah dae.โ And thatโs the Secret Origin of Robin And everyone else.
And this, by Robert Florence, will never not be my favourite poem about Batmanโฆ

04.10.2024 23:38 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Iโm glad to have found you here. โOpportunityโ was an incredible story with brilliant writing and fantastic art; I knew the moment it made me laugh out loud that it was something special!
04.10.2024 21:31 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Oh, and if you donโt know (I didnโt at first), a โkinetic novelโ means a visual novel thatโs basically just a linear story with art, no real choices other than tiny ones that donโt really affect the storyline. So is it a โgameโ? Itโs a matter of opinion. Iโd call it fiction within a certain medium.
04.10.2024 20:04 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I wanted to remark on this because it is refreshing to see actual sex-positive media in a space so often dominated by crude stereotypes, fetishization, and chauvinism. Iโm sure it isnโt perfect โ I can only evaluate it from a cis male viewpoint, after all โ but it *felt* right, you know?
04.10.2024 20:01 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Fine, no CW then.
I finished the indie adult kinetic novel โOpportunityโ today. And before you accuse me of being โhorny on mainโ, I have to say the writing, art, and diverse queer and racial representation was *phenomenal*. It is surprisingly wholesome and touching in parts.
Wait, wtf, Bluesky content warnings are only allowed if you have attached media? Are you kidding me right now?
Good lord, Mastodon is *miles* ahead in terms of user experience.
The reason for this is simple: some people post basically non-stop, and others post infrequently. Without categorization, the former drowns out the latter. Seeing at a glance whose writing you need to catch up on is extremely useful. But it doesnโt lend itself well to algorithmic tampering. #ux
04.10.2024 19:49 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I only learned after their shutdown that Cohost had the option of separately seeing how many unread posts were waiting from each of the people you were following, a la LiveJournal. If I had known that existed, Iโd have been there *all the time*. That is IMO the best #ux for a social network.
04.10.2024 19:46 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Oh wait, no, I forgot, Bluesky decided theyโd go ahead with their own completely separate incompatible federating protocol. So much for that idea. (Admittedly I hear ActivityPub leaves a lot to be desired, but did we really have to reinvent the wheel *again*?)
04.10.2024 19:43 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Heck, the only reason I popped online now is because I wanted to follow someone who was formerly on Cohost before I forgot to do so. Although, now that I think of it, if my Mastodon host allows federating with bsky maybe I can just follow from thereโฆ
04.10.2024 19:39 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I would legit check Bluesky as much as I check Mastodon if theyโd just remember where I last stopped reading, and the reason is psychological: when the feed is at the top, my brain thinks โwelp, Iโm doneโ. Iโm not gonna scroll down and read everything in reverse chronological order.
04.10.2024 19:36 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0For the love of god, #Bluesky, implement a โlast-read postโ bookmark for peopleโs feeds. Please. Twitter remembers where you last stopped reading, Mastodon does, but you refresh to the top of the feed every time, so I always miss *tons* of posts. This is some serious #uxfail here.
