There's a eucalyptus tree and a gumtree that seems could be the culprit, but also seeing other types of trees with similar sap leaks. I just don't have brain energy to investigate each one 😅

I did a search for "bubbling tree sap red" and came across a number of pics thay look similar to this. I also remember the few times collecting sap, I've seen bubbles that look similar. The sap is just more orange/light brown, so I didn't think of the connection until I started searching.

Ok, not expert and not forager, so heads up. BUT. I was doing a bunch of searching, and I found a post on fb of someone sharing pics that had similar looking bubbles, they were slightly more orangeish tho. And the consensus was tree sap, there were a few pics from others of similar.
So...
