How do you stop yourself from wanting to work on your game all the time?
Does anyone know of some games with in-game music players?
Not specifically rhythm games but games that include a menu dedicated to playing its own OST. Ex. The tunes menu in Kirby's Epic Yarn or the music players in ACNH.

Interface In Game is another great one
A couple evenings of work and the dialogue writer has made really good progress! It generates valid JSON that you can edit in real time, next up is dialogue options, saving the file and it's mostly complete!

I love having a full colour wheel available. It opens up so many options for character creation or trying to recreate characters.
Got the first pickup prototypes working! ๐
It took a while to integrate them into our wave spawning system
Pickups are collected by the player on contact and can be spawned alongside enemies #gamedev
The resource generation part of our game is kind of ๐ซค rn so I'm prototyping phases where energy pickups travel down the grid like Guitar Hero or Everhood
I'm hoping it'll make movement feel more intentional + help to break up gameplay + introduce fun challenges + manage pacing๐ต

It doesn't quite match the others but it was too silly not to choose
Spent yesterday and today working on some tower upgrade icons for TEMP-OS
It's surprisingly difficult to create small designs that both look cool and also communicate mechanics effectively but I think I did alright!

The art style for Alterspective took a lot of iterations to nail down.
