There is one place, however, where Musk, with the help of his minions, achieved his goals. He did indeed shred U.S.A.I.D. Though a rump operation is now operating inside the State Department, the administration says that it has terminated more than 80 percent of U.S.A.I.D. grants. Brooke Nichols, an associate professor of global health at Boston University, has estimated that these cuts have already resulted in about 300,000 deaths, most of them of children, and will most likely lead to significantly more by the end of the year. That is what Muskโs foray into politics accomplished.
Musk should be asked about this in every interview he does now and forever. To ignore it is a dereliction of duty.

Trump's Attack on Lawyers and Law Firms Takes a Page Out of the Southern 1950s Playbook
American Authoritarians Fear the Uniquely American Power of Litigation
If you want to know what this administration will do, no need to look to European authoritarians.
We had our own in the South in the 50s and 60s, and Trump is following their playbook.

This is an example of how nostalgia for the old days is simply nostalgia for when you were younger.
The idea that America was a post-racial society in the 1970s/1980s only makes sense if you were literally a child at that time and couldnโt observe what any adult was experiencing.

Democrats raise millions for Florida special elections in Trump territory
Democrats Gay Valimont and Josh Weil raised a combined $15.7 million ahead of their April 1 special elections, but they still face uphill climbs in the ruby-red districts.
Two special elections for congressional seats in Florida could change the balance in the House.
Dems have raised a ton of $, but Repubs are still favored to win. Dems need to get EVERY REGISTERED DEM VOTER to the poll & every Republican voter concerned abt social Sec.

Segregation was never just separate facilities
It was paying more & getting less in your neighborhood
It was getting the Phd, but still not getting hired
It was needing police for the police
It was building up a newspaper & having it burned (Wells)
It was building a school & having it shot up (JSU)

The Daily Reid: race purges and serfdom ... are we finally great again?
Jackie Robinson purged, the Iwo Jima memorial whitewashed, and Teslas literally burning. But Steve Bannon and Trump won't get a "live forever" neurochip, as far as we know...
My latest on Substack: Jackie Robinson purged from the military web, the Iwo Jima memorial scrubbed of Native Americans and Douthat talks to Bannon about technofeudalism and rich folks' posthuman future, while Teslas are literally burning. Are we great again, yet?

I didnโt watch this but am I to understand that an elderly Black man stood up to a fascist, was then escorted out, and most of the white people in the room sat there and did nothing?
Am I getting this right? I want to make sure before I say what I need to say.
