I heard Speaker Johnson on the television this morning saying that extending the ACA credits is a December issue. Well, it's not really a December issue if people start in October and November making decisions and locking themselves into higher health insurance rates.

We should stop using the term "translating" when we are talking about what automatic translation systems can do. What they do is processing texts (to try and replicate it using words from a different language). Translating is a human ability.

why it matters: disney/abc put kimmel back on the air but sinclair and nexstar who own many local abc stations are blocking him, sinclair is demanding an apology/donation, nexstar says it was assurances. these are state licensed stations that survive on local ad money. 1. find your local station: google [your city] abc station. check if it's owned by nexstar or sinclair. 2. watch for ads. tune into the evening news for 30 minutes. write down/screenshot which brands advertise. 3. pressure advertisers. [brand] i saw your ad on [station]. that station is blocking abc until kimmel apologizes. are you comfortable funding that? 4. hit the fcc. stations are licensed to "serve the public interest." file a complaint if your local station is censoring national programming for political reasons. remember: disney doesn't control your local affiliate - sinclair and nexstar do. advertisers keep those stations alive.

How to fight #Sinclair and #Nexstar.
