Crockett: My former colleagues from the Texas House—decided to get the hell out of Texas… breaking quorum is where they’re at right now. And they didn’t just do it by themselves—they went to Illinois, where there is a governor that gives a damn. This fight is going to take all of us.

A massive regressive national sales tax imposed upon every American by a president with no constitutional authority to impose a national sales tax. The reason why the founders gave this power to Congress is because this would never pass any Congress- even this one.

The ADL's hypothetical scenario involving flyers critical of Israel's demolition program encapsulates many other issues that those who reviewed the material or completed a training raised.
The scenario begins with a student leaving their dorm room to find a flyer taped to the door "warning that your residence hall will soon be demolished"
"The rest of the flyer contains 'facts' about how many Palestinian homes have been demolished by the Israeli military to collectively punish and 'ethnically cleanse'
Palestinians," the toolkit continues.
The ADL is referring to the highly charged debate over Israel's mass expulsion of Palestinians from their homes in the West Bank. The training material then offers the Israeli narrative around the demolitions, claiming they target
"terrorists" and "deter others from terrorist action".
*. Other
homes were demolished because they were "built without proper permits", the ADL states.
"While you may agree or disagree with these Israeli government actions, the charge that Israel has demolished these homes to 'ethnically cleanse' Palestinians is inaccurate and inflammatory," the ADL material states.
According to the Guardian, the ADL is now creating education materials for schools in which the civil rights organization justifies Israeli demolitions of Palestinian homes in occupied Palestinian territory.

Trump And Miller Compel Colleges Not To Enroll International Students
Trump officials are using rules, policies and agreements to compel and discourage U.S. universities from enrolling international students.
Wow. Had not realized that Columbia’s settlement with Trump admin included a commitment to decrease international student enrollment. In what way does this help “combat antisemitism,” which is supposedly the administration’s objective?

This historical revisionism is absurd, flabbergasting, and is frankly going to make me scream a mountain into rubble.

Hamas has agreed to lay down weapons, release the hostages for a permanent ceasefire. Israel wants to go no further than 60 days so it can start bombing and killing with impunity after. They routinely kill during a CF. So, it’s a deadlock as far as I know.

These people were at the wheel for eight years and rather than realizing what they were dealing with, they plastered that smug look on their faces, told us all we were crazy, and insisted that “the fever will break” among their GOP friends and colleagues.
So, thanks for waking up 10 years later.

AMERICAN ECONOMIC ASSOCIATION
Committee on Economic Statistics and Committee on Government Relations
Statement from the American Economic Association on the
Dismissal of the BLS Commissioner
Leaders of the American Economic Association express their grave concern over the dismissal of the Commissioner of the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) earlier today.
The independence of the federal statistical agencies is essential to the proper functioning of a modern economy. Accurate, timely, and impartial statistics are the foundation upon which households, businesses, and policymakers make critical decisions. Undermining the independence or credibility of these agencies threatens the integrity of the information that markets, institutions, and the public rely on every day.
Measuring the vast and dynamic U.S. economy in real time is inherently challenging. It is standard practice for statistical estimates to be revised as more complete and higher-quality data become available. These revisions reflect the commitment of statistical agencies to accuracy, transparency, and methodological rigor-not failure or bias.
The BLS has long had a well-deserved reputation for professional excellence and nonpartisan integrity.
Safeguarding this tradition is vital for the continued health of the U.S. economy and public trust in our institutions.
We call upon elected officials to respect and preserve the independence of the nation's statistical infrastructure.

‘Clearly Emaciated’: Former Green Beret Recounts Horrors at ‘Gaza Humanitarian Foundation’ Aid Sites
Anthony Aguilar, a retired US special forces officer, says the US-funded project involves unqualified US contractors serving as an “appendage” of the Israeli military’s genocidal campaign.
“I said to him, 'you're not forgotten'"
"He says, ‘Thank you’ in English.”
“Palestinians start dropping to the ground, and Amir was amongst them. So this young boy that traveled 8 kilometers, 8 or 9 kilometers, from his home to get aid…ends up dead.”
