I frankly don't think this is the time for even an ounce of optimism. Can't trust a government that is so easily overwhelmed to somehow stop itself mid freefall. We're on our own and we need to look out for each other.

The guard rails failed. Open your eyes man. The courts are packed. DOGE has taken over the Treasury. DJT just dumped a bunch of reservoirs in NoCal, ensuring a summer of drought. People are being rounded up and deported indiscriminately. Yes, resist, but be honest with yourself. Shit is going down.

None of that matters anymore. The fascists have won. They are actively dismantling everything and have begun tossing people into the meat grinders.

There is enforcement but it's slow. It has to go through the courts and guess what, over the last twenty years those courts have been packed with rightwing nationalists. It's check mate. Union busters have won. Oligarchs and fascists have won.

Preach! This has been a half century long effort and now the chickens have come home to roost.
