Penn nearly won at Yale today. Per KenPom, Penn is now 199th on offense and 152nd on defense.

Yale is still easily the favorite to win the Ivy Tourney, but Penn is in great shape as well (only top 4 make Ivy Tourney).

Chit Chat picked the right opponent to have an off shooting game, especially when Stremlow was on fire

I just don't understand why teams don't press Iowa for 40 minutes. Like, if you don't have a deep enough bench I understand you want to maybe pull it back a little bit, but there is so much discomfort handling the ball and seeing the floor properly

The bucket a few minutes ago is noteworthy. Kylie drove into traffic, but this time, she actually stopped early enough, allowed Heiden to reposition and then Kylie threw a good pass and Heiden laid it in. Need more of that good decision making Kylie. Well done

I do think Teagan will get there to be a good player in the rotation. It may not be fully this season, but I still think it's coming for her

It's a play to just keep possession, but I have seen that play so many times end up being a turnover whether the defender gets it, the offensive player commits a foul or just steps out of bounds.

I know the shots haven't fallen for her in game mostly, but she has the basketball IQ and reaction time

Random play, but Hays threw a lob pass to Teagan and Teagan made a crazy good play.

She snagged it when it probably should've been a turnover and Teagan as she is falling out of bounds ends up throwing it off the defender to keep possession.

Iowa breaks press. Stremlow initially starts to set up a play, but then just launches it cause no one is guarding her

If you're a good shooter and you are open from three, you should always pull it

This is the one thing I wish a few guys on the men's side would do more often

That said, it is good to see Kylie tempoarily break out of her shooting slump from three

Or, if that pass was deflected by the defender, then it obviously would be on Kylie and not Heiden. I do not understand stat/score keepers sometimes.

Btw, when I was a student at Bowling Green and did some practicum/internship stuff with athletics, I'd see these mistakes very often

Idk how Heiden got credited for the turnover. Yes, she should have been quicker to grab and secure that bad pass, but that 100% should be credited to Kylie misreading that Heiden was moving to open space at the FT line

Btw, near end of 1st quarter - that full court pass by Deal up ahead to Teagan was awesome. Moving ahead, Iowa needs to create more fast break points with someone running ahead

Stremlow 7-8 from the floor and 5-5 from three. Her one miss was halfway down, spun around the rim and barely fell out. So damn good

Chit Chat hasn't even shot the ball yet, and Iowa has 5 assists and shooting 75% from the floor with 0 turnovers. Absolute no brainer

Look, Iowa is playing Purdue, so don't want to make too much of a big deal out of it, but Iowa is basically perfect on offense and that's what happens when you have both Stremlow and Houston on the floor.

Once Stuelke gets back, the lineup of Chit Chat, Stremlow, Houston, Stuelke, Heiden is a must

Lol, the announcers in this Arkansas Alabama game made it sound like the entire time that Arkansas only had 7 guys who could suit up and play, and now there's an 8th playing. These guys are terrible

Btw, it is insane how much more contact is allowed by refs in the Big Ten compared to other leagues. Like, if Stirtz played with the SEC refs, he would get 15 FTAs a game
