As we continued up & out of Hideout Canyon toward the La Sals, biking was steep and the views expanded across miles of dramatic red rock canyons. We'd end up doing 30 miles and 5800' of gain all in amazing scenery. Expand this photo and look way back in there.

Riding through the red rock and mountains along the Utah-Colorado border, our route first took us up Onion Creek, and over this pass into Hideout Canyon.
As you could imagine, it was scenic the whole way.
We rode all the way up into the La Sal Mountains. But this first section was stunning.

The US, my country, is no longer reliable, run by criminal Russian assets.

I'll post a few pics from a bikepacking and packrafting loop in this area we called the KokoDolores. Coming out of the canyon to see this was certainly a highlight.

One of the calm sections of southwestern Colorado's Piedra River. Flowing out of the Weminuche Wilderness, it boasts some deep canyons and big rapids in a remote mountainous forest. It has some of our favorite #packrafting that we've done.
