better fucking yet all you assholes with cars should have to move them in rotating shifts so we can have a proper snow removal process. i am 100% convinced the weak response to the recent storm (in addition to the sub-freezing temps and ice) is the fact so many fucking cars are in the way.

Two things are happening here:

1. Most people in this area don’t actually need their cars that often.

2. Knowing that it’s difficult to find parking elsewhere means drivers aren’t using their cars as often.

People have worn out "performative." We often perform things that are real, you know. Posting is a kind of performance of one's politics. Performative doesn't actually mean "fake" or "empty," it just gets deployed that way. We actually need performance. Case in point: last night's performance.

We are living through a movement moment whose workings must not be wholly visible, even though the movement itself must be visible. That's complicated. Fashion will be part of it.
