My error. Recall elections of federal officials, although not yet tested before the Supreme Court, is not currently allowed.

"They" are moving fast. Midterms are too far away. If congress doesn't want to work, time to recall each member individually. Unsure how practical it is in the various jurisdictions, but action is preferred to watching it all happen.

There are too many guns to ever retrieve, but eventually, in years, perhaps decades, we can diminish their utility. Currently you can purchase 20 rounds for an AR-15 for $10.

Guns don't kill people. Bullets do. Bullets are an expendable commodity. Ban all military grade ammo to civilians. Tax regular ammo mightily. A 9mm hollow point costing $50 a piece will, over time, diminish demand. Yes, there will be problems with reloads and black market, etc. But a start.

Yesterday in San Bernadino immigration agents started shooting. The precedent is set. Good faith in law enforcement can no longer be assumed. 30 states have stand your ground statutes, another 8 operate under the castle doctrine which may include your car and place of work.

The FBI is well on course to become an instrument of Trump rather than a crime fighting organization. The Guard and local police are the next step. I can only see compliance or insurrection as alternatives.

The Guard callups are indeed performative but could also serve another purpose: To determine who within the command structure down to Sargeants and boots on the ground can be "rellied upon". MAGA is in the 30's nationwide, likely higher within the professional Army. Non-bellievers can be winnowed
