Many, like Denver Public Library, have added social worker positions because the need is so great. Though you may not realize it, not only do these positions exist, but their effective caseloads rival hospitals and jails, so please be kind, they do not have it "easier" just bc they are in a library.

a cream-colored miniature long-haired dachshund puppy sits atop an exam table at a vet’s office. he’s turning his head ever so slightly to give you a meaningful look. his ears have the beachy waves equivalent of crimpies. one front paw is stepped forward a hair further than the other, like he senses you’re close to making a deal. speaking of paws and hair, he has a few little tufts of fluff sticking out from his toes – grinch paws in the making.
