Ah, my old companion Imposter Syndrome has returned, bringing with them all the usual delights and conniving whispers.

And on Halloween of all days... great...

Pretty much all of it, yeah, along with most of its animal life. There were less than 70 people left when Aegis arrived, and of those, 67 survived the Ascension process, and they became the primary Pantheon of Gods in A'arde.

After that, the world was rebuilt and renamed, then repopulated by inviting other displaced Gods and peoples to the world. It does mean that there are technically no "native" peoples from A'arde's Material Plane!

The Coming of Aegis

My world has technically seen two "lifetimes", the current one, and the Time Before Renewal. Little is known about the Time Before Renewal, but everyone knows that the world was almost destroyed by the Primeval Titans, and only the Coming of Aegis stopped it.

super sad about Drew Struzan. He was excellent at capturing likeness but never made illustrations that felt stiff. He made whatever he illustrated look cooler. His use of light ❤️❤️. His collages never felt thrown together. Rest in peace. Thankyou for the inspiration. No one can touch you.

Fun Lil Guys Alert 🍄✨🚨

A set of 7 dice. They are blue with white and blue swirls, white flowers, tree bark. The numbers are inked in different shades of green.

I really enjoy just looking at a piece of art and then thinking about how I would adapt it into my medium of choice - dice. XD
I love taking the art apart into the parts that stand out to me and then taking that part and somehow putting it into dice. 😌

The final #Swordtember theme is "Winter" for day 30, and is something of a mystery even amongst the stories told about it. It may be Fey in origin, but also might not. The only things for certain are that its wielder is a woman, and that it has cold magic!

A God's weapon, this is #Swordtember day 29 with the theme "Autumn". The sword changed name over the years, taking on a Common name rather than its original A'arden name, and resembles a farming implement in its form. It's also coloured strangely, for a sword!

Golden Bounty

"Summer" is the theme for #Swordtember day 28, and Golden Bounty is a little bit unique in that it was never intended to be used in an actual fight. It was crafted as a decorative piece, before being blessed by Orino, the Goddess of Summer, becoming more powerful.

#Swordtember day 27 is "spring", and it features another artefact weapon blessed by a God. This one is blessed by Auster, who is the God of Spring, and was gifted to one of his Chosen during the Age of Darkness to battle Fiends and Undead.

Venari Harpy-Claw Scimitar

Day 26 of #Swordtember has the theme of "harpy", and the sword in question comes from Fehdaine in Duroloth. They are quite gruesome in the way they are constructed, but are also valuable in that they are used by only one type of monster hunter in the region.
