Nice, this stretch has what I believe to be the most pressured fish on the east coast. They see a lot of flies thrown at them

Work and life has been cranking and I find myself in another part of the country again. Here is a wild brown from the little lehigh from this past weekend.

Pictures like this always inspire me to plan the next trip and adventure further and further. When I was younger it was climbing and running waterfalls in my kayak but now its peaceful tranquility with the rest of the natural world.

Winter has arrived in PA and small (#22) tan midges are whats on the bottom of the rocks currently. This stream has ice along the banks today, it looked like this over the weekend.

I agree with Barry above but flip a rock and see whats crawling around on the bottom of the rock. Use that as an anchor fly and run a dry above it by 1.5x the depth of the water. Good luck!

They come out to say hi quite often. Playing catch with bears sounds significantly more dangerous than fishing. Who's dating fish? Are there documented cases of fish dating?

Walked down as it was a new stream for me and watched a brown feed and thought "thats a good sign" apparently not. Dry dropper with royal wulff and #24 midge as thats what was under a rock.

Sometimes you can see the fishes hiding spots but they don't want to come say "hi". Snowy day on a creek.

What bugs are you seeing in the water there?

Tiny fly season is upon us I believe. I've caught a few in the past weeks on #18 all black midges, nothing yet on the 20s and 24s I've tied on.

Various flies like frenchies, als rat, als rat with tail and als rat with CDC as well as cress bug, caddis emerger and midge CDC spinner

Thanksgiving was great, its my favorite holiday and always leads to me having to loosen the belt. Yesterday, I tied up some nymphs and a few random designs. Hoping to find a fish or two tomorrow. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and you'll have tight lines soon.

A wild brown, caught earlier this year. I stood on a hill above a creek for 10 minutes today watching a fish rise on some BWO spinners (or duns?). I crept down and sat in the brush beside the creek for another 10. Then spooked him with the first cast. Fishing during a drought is tough.

Yes, I only fish it midweek and in the winter. I go elsewhere any other time because I dont like bumping shoulders.
