24,000 votes. I KNOW! It’s far from accurate, but JFC, it gives me a little bit of hope. I like hope 💚.

I wanted to get a video of this ghost crab but every time I got close to their hole they scuttled back in, so I tried getting clever with it. I made a little sandcastle and shoved my phone into it, hit record, and walked away. Crab was VERY suspicious of this addition to their environment.

My cartoon in today's www.thepress.co.nz/nz-news/3608...
Erica Stanford & her ministry are axing Art History in Aotearoa for senior school students.
This cartoonist wouldn't be the person I am without it. I thank all those who've come before me, who work now, and to future artists.

New political poll predicts hung Parliament
The Taxpayers' Union-Curia Poll also puts Christopher Luxon level with Labour's Chris Hipkins in preferred prime minister ratings.
This closeness is perhaps why the coalition is looking to stop people enrolling to vote during the voting period. Special votes usually break left. At the last election, National ended up with 2 fewer seats than on election night after special votes were counted.

Kia Ora Earthlings!
You know how Luxon kept saying that our inflation was caused by massive gov spending? Well, that's BS. Our Inflation followed global trends, in fact slightly below global average.

This needs to be screamed from the rooftops. If Luxon agrees to let this through, I think we should have a nationwide strike - and ask the Governor General to intervene, in the long-term interest of the country.

Well worth watching. We are so lucky to have had the calibre of scientists and their teams working during the first years of Covid. Very worrying that our preparedness for the next one and public health work around infectious diseases is not a priority of the current National led government #nzpol

At this juncture I’d like to point out:
* we’re on the brink of a golden age of medical healing
* there’s enough money in the world to solve every problem in the world
* a united approach could stop the climate crisis
But a small group of sociopaths seeking personal power are going to throw it away.
