Huge fan of Trunk Records, and Jonny is one of the nicest guys you could ever wish to meet. I’ve been a fan since the late 90s, and have obsessively bought all the records and a ridiculous amount of tee shirts. Jonny is a national treasure. Great interview Bob, thanks a million for posting it up!

I still have an invoice from an eBay seller inside an orig press 60s LP that I bought in 2001 from the states. $4 for the postage. The postage hikes over the last 10 years from the US for records is insane.

I’ve been spending the last few weeks delving into the podcast on my half hour walk to work each morning, and they’re brilliant. Some bands I know, others I don’t but each one is chock full of great insights! Class!

The St Vitus Dance album ‘Love Me Love My Dogma’ is fantastic. Noel Burke was a great singer and wrote some cracking songs.

Another one for Lennon. Always sounded like JL to me, and I was a bit perplexed when I heard about this debate a few years back. To my ears, it can only be JL.

Super record. I was introduced to this via the English Weather comp LP by Bob Stanley with the JLT track from this album. What a tune.

Exactly. How many times are you going to play take 2 of ‘Day is Done’ over the released version? It’s lovely to hear it, but at that price it’s a bit of a piss take, for me. Again, if you’re into it knock yourself out.

I feel the same Johnny. If you’re into it & can afford it, go for your life, but personally I’ve bought enough of these types of box sets in the past to realise that I generally play it once,and it ends up just sitting on the shelf and I rarely play them again.

Haha! The temptation is always there!

Not so much on my mobile phone, but on our landline we still get calls for a local takeaway every few weeks as our numbers are quite similar. And as we almost never receive calls meant for us on the landline, 99 times out of 100 if the landline rings in our house it’s a ‘wrong number’.
