Closing down a great Valentine’s Day with the Europe 72 Morning Dew on vinyl.

Wonderful place.

I believe there are two kinds of people: people who wish they were famous actors and people who wish they were rock stars.

I think I’ve made this point before but if you don’t like this album I’m not sure I understand what you like about music.

Last weekend was the Super Bowl and now it’s summer. Pretty sure this is what god intended.

I call this one “first sniff of false spring with foam promotional starfish”

Apparently you have never been camping with post toddler aged kids already covered from head to toe in an unholy combination of dirt, sunscreen, and bug spray and then add burnt marshmallow and whatever the hell heresy’s “chocolate” even is into the horrible mix right before entering your tent.

But I bet your consumption of tums has gone up they are almost identical so basically you are even.

The Mars Volta one is the one I’m most adamant about here. God I love this album so much.

Some people have never seen Romancing the Stone and it shows.

People have been very upset with me in the past for liking it but not thinking it’s an all timer.

My three most controversial opinions:

1) S’mores suck.
2) The Big Lebowski is fine, good even.
3) Noctourniquet is the best Mars Volta Album.

I actually think it’s a uniquely beautiful category of relationship.

“I don’t want to talk to them ever again but I do trust them in a crisis” is such a niche category.

I really would like to do that.

This album is what Jack Tripper and Larry listen to late nights when they strike out at the Regal Beagle.

I’ve never sold there but have thought about getting into it. Thin out my records some and get my coolest CDs into the hands of someone who at least owns a CD player.

Went to Parlour for the first time and finally had the burger not from a truck or stadium kiosk. My take away is….

I thought you were writing a song and DGAF was a chord progression.

One aspect of roller derby that nobody warned me about is the constant state of finger danger for the skaters.

Halftime at the roller derby is an on track dance party which obviously rules.

I also had an opportunity to meet @andrewtengwall.bsky.social - it’s not every day that I’m jealous of someone’s hair.

I’m pretty sick of interests being politically coded but also you can’t really get much more opposite in that regard than roller derby and rodeo being in the same building.
