Previous to the FDA, folks would put chalk and plaster of Paris in milk to make it appear white. They could also add formaldehyde to cover the smell and taste of spoiled milk.

As an individual consumer, I might not be able to change the world, but I’d prefer to support folks who are trying rather than just mindlessly consuming everything.

One of my personal passions is learning about sustainable ethical practices and finding companies who transparently align with them.

I’m curious if there is a community here for that sort of thing? There are so many little companies out there with good missions I’d love to share and learn about!

My partner is on a business trip this week so of course I sent him this picture so he could have his morning Felix sock too hahaha

How else was he supposed to start the day?! 🤣

Felix loves socks so much that I gave him one of my favorite old comfy Maggie’s wool socks (his favorite too)

I don’t know how to describe this but here goes: Little orange cat who likes being squished into small spaces has squeezed himself in between the mattress and footboard of a bed and is watching playfully with a foot stuck out.
