Carolina Panthers waive former draft pick to bring in rookie OLB The Carolina Panthers are tinkering with the bottom of their roster following the first two practices of training camp. They’ve swapped out a pair of OLBs heading into the weekend.

The #Panthers have waived former draft pick, OLB Amare Barno, to make room for OLB JJ Weaver, who worked out for the team Monday.

Barno has been with the Panthers since 2022 (sixth rounder) and just underwent a second knee surgery after an ACL tear in 2023. He practiced the past two days.
