If it’s only for sound deadening, I tend not to replace it. I end up regretting this on things like dot matrix printers.

I’ve seen it several times over the years and yes it still stings a little every time.

Even back in the day we knew better than to leave VNC wide open. Let alone on what looks like a water treatment system with some mildly spicy chemicals.

Yup, I’m doing this with a 2012 MBP now. Felt a little bad installing Linux on it but the hardware has plenty of life left.
