I think a workaround would be having someone ELSE purchase the materials, then the librarian could purchase them from that person and then apply for reimbursement, but that seems like such a headache to add in yet another middleman.

Acquisition trips to those places for physical materials? Gone. Renewal of current subscriptions? Nope.

Got the news yesterday that our uni library is no longer allowed to purchase materials or content subscriptions from Cuba, China, North Korea, Venezuela, Iran, and Russia.
