I ordered a birthday cake from @dairyqueens.bsky.social. As a joke I told my son "I wonder if we can write something funny on it." So I ordered it and the poor lady from Dairy Queen had to call me to say corporate policy doesn't let them do curse words. Lame. Understandable, but lame.

You can say things are getting serious. I just renewed my biz domain name for... wait for it... two years.

Aer Lingus extends Cleveland-to-Dublin flight to six days during peak season, will run year-round The boost in service is seen as a major win for the region, which has struggled to retain nonstop flights to Europe for years.

Excited to see this news from @aerlingus.bsky.social. I took this flight 2x last week and it was great to have access to. www.cleveland.com/travel/2024/...

I arrived in Manchester this afternoon and headed right to our business bank. Outside the bank was a large Christmas market, and I hadn't eaten since somewhere over the Atlantic, so I spent that Β£10 on a german sausage sandwich.

It was really good but now I'm kind of bummed the note is now spent.

I was last in England in 2019. Since then, 65% of my clients are there and after all the pandemic stuff, it was time to come back.

Since that last trip, I've had a Β£10 note in my wallet. Just chilling in there, a reminder of the last time I was there.

So my privation made me miss even my number one last year, Sleep Token, who ended up at #9 (according to Last.fm, which I've used forever.)

So my mantra going into 2025 is no more private sessions. I am going to be me, analytics be damned.

Artists ranked low or missing this year because of my privating: Biffy Clyro (#5), Khruangbin (#12), Everything Everything (#15), Amyl and the Sniffers (#31), Chet Baker (#32). Dave Dudley (#54), Astrud Gilberto (#77 - I had a bossa nova phase). I did a lot of album listening to them this year.

No offense to Queens of the Stone Age -- Songs for the Deaf if a top 10 of all time for me - but I'm not sure how they were my top artist in 2024. And Led Zeppelin at number 3? I dunno.

I'm the type of strange person that I would often put my Spotify in private mode when I wanted to just listen to one artist for awhile in fear I'd throw off my Wrapped and having it say my top artist was, say, Astrud Gilberto. Which is fine but it backfired on me this year.

Sounds amazing. My 18yo just spatchcocked two turkeys and he’s making them both on his own. I’m excited.

I use WordPress all day every day for the hundreds of sites we manage. There's nothing worse than all the plugin makers who feel like they need to add their stupid sale banners on my admin dashboard.

Had to watch Bake-Off early. Was semi-spoiled by a UK newspaper story. Netflix should air the finale the same night at the UK.

I nearly had Bake Off spoiled by the internet and I don't know if we can wait until Friday. Might have to set sail to watch it tonight.

You're right. My youngest goes to rural school here in Ohio and I'm glad to see their enrollement this fall was up compared to years past. They've invested in facilities and I think that's helped.

Well, I backed up my Twitter archive (going all the way back to 2007) and locked my account there. That was harder than I thought it was be, but I know its the right choice.

It's cool to see lots of people I know on here. 😁

If their infrastructure struggles to handle this fight , how are they going to handle NFL games? On Christmas? Hopefully this was a test and they can find the pain points.
