Xcel talked about upgrades along the river, including getting rid of the big rusty poles. Also discussed the need to move underground lines if the Blue Line extension happens. Also, if you use mostly electric for heat, you can get a discount rate in the winter.

Centerpoint also shared a 40% increase in home energy upgrades.

City staff suggested several locations for potential Centerpoint pilot locations.

MAK- Data sharing will be important. We are already thinking about Geothermal for the Democracy Center, and could distribute from there as well as other new city buildings.

Geothermal incentives were left in the reconciliation bill. Density makes Thermal Energy Networks more viable.
