06.08.2025 03:37 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0She also does constituent meetings. I've met with her a few times. It's a better conversation to explain how your priorities are not being reflected in her positions rather than lashing out about actions she took. Remember that civility is still important even if it seems to be dead online.
06.08.2025 03:36 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I love that MPD can't be bothered to collect evidence of a wreckless driving incident that occurred on my property, but they can drive onto my closed block for national night out to tell a dumb dad joke.
06.08.2025 02:36 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thanks for this. I'll never be able to watch another Audit Committee without seeing this.
06.08.2025 02:29 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Why else would the city needs its first CCO? Frey knows that propaganda is part of political power. Control the narrative, control the public sentiment.
05.08.2025 21:17 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I'll be the first donor and first person to sign up to door knock. Maybe @swaempls.bsky.social would help?
05.08.2025 21:01 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Can someone please say that we've had enough and have someone sane run against her?
05.08.2025 20:58 β π 4 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0We'll inevitably get Bob "Again" Carney on the ballot under the Republican banner.
05.08.2025 20:38 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I think yes, but I agree that this is horrendous ux
04.08.2025 15:37 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Still frame from the show Futurama, showing two aliens watching TV. One says to the other: "Why does Ross, the largest 'Friend', not simply eat the other five?"
For those who don't know, this is a Futurama reference.
03.08.2025 16:00 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Makes you wanna give to Cashmans campaign doesn't it?
03.08.2025 02:49 β π 9 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0I might also be willing to volunteer for this.
01.08.2025 19:59 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Maybe it would help her campaign more than frivolous CFB complaints to host this as a fundraiser.
01.08.2025 18:09 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The big problem: Everyone involved in creating the process that produced the non-functioning, inadequately tested solution should think hard about their role and how to avoid repeating it. This is *not* one person's fault: it is the fault of those who entrusted a single person.
01.08.2025 00:40 β π 17 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0Where do I buy tickets for this?
01.08.2025 16:53 β π 8 π 0 π¬ 1 π 01/ We (as a party, not you as a person working for the party) need to work on getting that spoiled ballot rate down. It's unacceptable that with digital voting that it should be that high. Here are some suggestions for next time: π§΅
01.08.2025 13:21 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 2 π 0Stomping people and not cleaning up messes is a metaphor for policing in general.
01.08.2025 16:10 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I agree. All of this is under the assumption that the Minneapolis DFL is decided that digital ballots are how they (we?) want to conduct the endorsement balloting / tabulation.
01.08.2025 15:58 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 09/ Thank you for all the hard work. It's easy to complain after the fact, but not to volunteer to make things better. How does one volunteer in this capacity? I'd like to help next time.

8/ Any of the ballot errors could be "go to the credentials desk for a resolution" This could all be on the sample dummy ballot which could be open for hours while other business is conducted. This provides an opportunity to get many of the human errors out of the way when it's not consequential.
01.08.2025 13:53 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 07/ Perform real-time validation of the voter ID and the state of the ballot.
Not a valid ID? Tell the voter.
Already voted? Tell the voter how many times they voted.
Mismatch on the 2nd factor (zip code, etc)? Tell the voter.
Give an opportunity to correct / resubmit.
6/ Consider handing out a sample dummy ballot at the same time as the ballot ID. This will give delegates plenty of time to acclimatize to the digital format.
01.08.2025 13:42 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 05/ In a city run election, all precincts use a voting tabulator that does validation on the ballots before counting them. This provides a real-time opportunity for a voter to correct their invalid input before submitting it. A digital ballot should be even easier to conduct these kinds of checks.
01.08.2025 13:38 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 04/ Hand transcription is also prone to off-by-one errors when people have to scan a row in a roster. If the rosters were striped (different colors even/odd) we could reduce the likely of this kind of transcription error.
01.08.2025 13:33 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 03/ Do not rule out that volunteers at check-in could be bad actors. Make sure that check-in volunteers do not know the affiliations of the people they are checking in. I am NOT making a claim of impropriety on any volunteer, simply suggesting a solve for minimizing this as a threat vector
01.08.2025 13:30 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 02/ Do not rely on volunteers handwriting on a notecard. Instead print the voter id on something that can be handed out in a font with no ambiguous number characters and an underline delineating what's right side up. Legibility should be consistent and not vary based on who checked you in.
