It makes the quote from the Wittgenstein figure in the thus-titled film "Back to fucking Cambridge" more understandable ...

However, to quibble, the input growth function f is probably exponential.

Glen, very good stuff, thank you.

It might be better to use an exponential as approximating function $y = a0 + a1 * exp(a2*(t-t0))$ (one of those coefficients might be redundant). The underlying physical process might well be exponential. Of course, locally a parabola is a good approximation.

Brilliant, Greg: "And surely only AI could display Albanese with such little dignity or self worth….". You encapsulated succinctly the whirling fury and disgust in my head.

Andy, also you got it in one, it was heart-breaking, a brilliant achievement of Cathy: the colours, the representation of the refugees, and the sign. But I am burbling.

Unfortunately his/her confused delusions seem to be widely shared in their cohort, at home and in the diaspora.

I've said it before, but will repeat it here: Fiona's gift for caricature, with very few lines, is extraordinary.

Oops - if one wanted to capture the spirit of Kafka (or BΓΆhmische Dorfer) in central Europe, as your two photos do (my heart sank), then B+W

I vote for colour - all the Habsburg cities are nicely multi-coloured. I live in a block in "SchΓΆnbrunn yellow". Charming.

Interesting! Completely different from his paintings, which are somewhat sparse, and, dare I say, just a bit twee.

Whenever I see those wonderful oval windows, such as your earlier picture today, I think of Josef der Zweite. With this picture, and the man himself, it did not require much imagination. Very nice.
