13.09.2025 14:19 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Fatal Bicycle Crash Report β September 2, 2025 A preliminary investigation details a tragic incident in the 16th District on Belmont Avenue, where a bicyclist was fatally struck by a vehicle. Two carsβa black Dodge Charger and a black Chryslerβwere reportedly speeding northbound when one collided with the cyclist traveling east on Avenue of the Republic. The impact caused critical injuries, and the victim was later pronounced dead at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center at 10:24 am. Police observed one of the vehicles on the 3200 block of Sedgley St shortly after the crash and seized the vehicle for further examination. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
