A 37 Year Old Man who was struck there on July 9th has been reported in critical condition.

This was a tragedy but not accident. These crashes are avoidable and we will continue to work with our partners to advocate for safe trucking.

Bicyclist killed after being struck by dump truck in Southwest Philadelphia A bicyclist was killed after being struck by a dump truck Thursday morning in Southwest Philadelphia.

We just learned that a cyclist was hit and killed by the driver of Mack truck on 58th and Baltimore Ave. this morning. We are still trying to get more information but we are devastated for the victim's family.
This is the second bicyclists fatality in Philly this year.

It's true that protected lanes are used by more than just people who ride bikes! The disability community relies on these spaces because many of our sidewalks are not accessible.

We know of a couple of large residential buildings that have banned e-mobility devices (but not EV's) due to the fear and misinformation related to LI battery fires. These vehicles are not those devices.

Yes, Safe Streets for All is still a thing, and the Safe Routes Partnership is providing technical assistance for those communities in the DVRPC Region that are interested in applying.

You are right...technically. Heavier cargo bikes were not taken into consideration. The 100lb limit is a response to out-of-class vehicles.
PA micro-mobility laws are flawed. E-scooters are illegal but hoverboards are legal?
