The £2 bus fare cap was temporary and due to end in December. £3 is much better than full price which the fares would have reverted to. It’s really not that difficult to understand that the new cap is still better than an unsustainable long term £2 cap when there is no money to pay for it 🤷🏼‍♀️

£3 is still a lot better than having no cap at all which is what was going to happen from December. Fares would then have gone up to full price which could have been double that in many areas. £3 is better than no cap at all

Zarah, the £2 fares were going to end in December. Surely the £3 cap is better than them going up to full price which would deepen financial hardship even more? Hopefully bus companies will leave them at £2, however they can’t stay at that rate indefinitely
