I "warned" my branch at work today that my team would be using the biathlon approach to clients who asked for "coming soon" to be added to the website. Clients must drop what they're doing and ski 150m around the nearest facility. Yes, we live in the sub-tropics and it's summer. So? BYO skis.

I started out watching NHL hockey in 2001. It was not available on TV and I didn't even have broadband yet. I used to follow Canucks scores online and watch these tiny squintyvision clips of single plays that took all day to download. We're a long way from that now!

It was run by a newbie tutor and was completely full of non-Lit US exchange students who had no cultural reference to draw on so we had to stop to explain basic concepts the whole time. I liked almost every other lit and film class I took!
