Playful time in the kitchen 🍽️. I’m enamored with these garlic and herb palmiers, a perfect salty bite with a glass of wine, and I made shortbread for the first time tonight - earl gray shortbread, half of it with lemon icing drizzle. Simple pleasures for a roast chicken dinner with friends:)

I fully believe that baking/cooking is my love language:) Hosted a dear friend’s birthday party and thoroughly enjoyed making everything from scratch. 🍽️ From lemon drizzle cake to homemade paté and a braided bread wreath, there’s joy in making delicious food for people I love.

Shrimp bowls with black beans and rice. 🍽️ A delicious dinner, yes, but not a pairing with Freisa from Piedmonte. So dinner was first, wine was after:)

Dinner tonight - soy roasted salmon with simple fried rice and dry Riesling to finish it off! 🍽️

Dreams do come true - I was craving tomato and peach salad and some sort of seafood for dinner. Both tomatoes and peaches were chefs kiss at the farmers market and I scored some gorgeous black cod at the fish market! 🍽️ Dinner is served:)

Dinner tonight was an ad hoc beef, bean, and green chili stew, served over leftover brown rice and topped with fresh avocado, skyr, and copious amounts of cilantro! 🍽️ Both delicious and a great way to use up leftover bits and bobs.

That entire cookbook is a winner - 10/10 would highly recommend!

Dinner tonight is a fave from Night + Market, Praka’s Ribeye, served with brown rice and roasted asparagus. 🍽️ It’s an amazingly simple yet luxurious dinner!

Had some matcha soba noodles in the pantry, so I was excited to try them in this Tiger Noodle Salad. 🍽️ So fresh and tasty:)

We did a classic against a Negroni de Bourdain! It’s a version that subs mezcal for the gin and cynar and aperol for the Campari!

I’m more than a little obsessed with Greek salads right now, this is my third this week! 🍽️ Made all the more delicious with Negronis lakeside!

So many benefits to wine study, and my fave part of WSET 3 is how it’s expanded my wine curiosity. Before tonight I wouldn’t have sought out S. African Chard, but walking through the wine shop, I was excited to get wine from a region I had been deep-diving for test prep. It’s delightful! 🍽️
