This is to say nothing of the fact that in 2015 Burnham lost the leadership race to Corbyn after being the frontrunner! The fact he didn't quit politics and continued to make a huge difference speaks greatly to his character!

This is appalling from an MP! What I can't stand is how they make being mayor of Greater Manchester seem like a trivial role. Like it's easy & unconnected to British politics. Burnham made it the success it is, it was not easy!

Many will hope that it's attitudes like this that Burnham will change.
