1) Public servants are great;
2) One of the key ways to empower them is for outside groups to sue the government when corporate political pressure inhibits civil servants from protecting us.

This is the core message that needs to get out: Autopilot/FSD are not designed to keep you safe, they're designed to create the impression that true self-driving is almost here. Tesla has kept elements of the design known to create this impression, even after NTSB proved they contributed to deaths.

Tesla is being hit with $329m in damages for a crash in which the human driver says he knew Autopilot wasn't self-driving. This is super important, because it shows that Autopilot's design and marketing can induce inattention even when drivers consciously know they are supposed to pay attention.
