I find myself caught between the idea that the most radical political act is to disconnect from the current news cycle as it just causes noise and sadness in our lives and the idea that we find ourselves in a truly desperate political moment that requires all courageous people to pay attention.

I grew up and lived in LA for 20+ years of my life. To see my childhood home on the verge of being burnt down in a single day is entirely sobering.
Honestly I wish I could say it is a surprise. For a long time already I felt like nothing in LA is safe from fire.
I hope at least the people are. ❤️

I quit my job as an Engineering Manager a month ago.
I'm currently in the process of getting rid of all my belongings and finishing up work.
I plan to live out of a backpack and wander around Europe with my dog for a while.

I had the same experience last year. The ending is 10/10.
