13.02.2026 22:37 โ ๐ 347 ๐ 90 ๐ฌ 8 ๐ 5Conclusions:
1. SFUSD always has the money
2. Direct action gets the goods
The post-fact finding offer upped the raise to 4%, so a new 14m in costs, but again, the district did not explain how much class size increases would save. I can't quantify the reserve bonus, but then SFUSD didn't either.
The last offer is the reported cost, no AB1200 yet.
Sources: I pulled the October offer. SFUSD offered 2% in raises but wanted 13.5m+ in concessions. SFUSD calculates raises at 1% = $7m. They did not give an analysis of how much no class size limits would save, but I think several million is a reasonable guess
15.02.2026 23:18 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Net cost to district, SFUSD October packaged proposal to UESF: 0 (possibly net positive)
Net cost to district, post fact-finding proposal: 0-14m (excluding possible reserve bonus)
Net cost to district, TA: $183m
The SFUSD Board of Ed didn't wanna deal with a meeting during the educators' strike they caused (and lost), but their cost-redacted OpenAI contract will be back - not to mention the one to add Gemini licenses to their Google contract. Keep an eye on those agendas!

14.02.2026 21:41 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Uh oh yet again the antiunion astroturf has to try to hold two contrary beliefs:
1. The educators' strike won nothing, they got what they were offered via fact finding (not true)
2. The educators got too much and now the district is so so so so broke and it's the educators' fault
Oh and of course prayers up for Jill Tucker (Carlson), who cannot believe the city did not rise up and stone us uppity educators and all the sympathy strikers
13.02.2026 20:08 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0FACT CHECK: We did not accept the existing offer. Idk Garry, your chat bot may have claimed to be a union leader but it's not

13.02.2026 15:58 โ ๐ 7 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0You'd think if all the educators went on strike and took the principals, custodians, secretaries, security guards, nutrition workers, and bus drivers with them you might reconsider your priors.

12.02.2026 21:21 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0SFUSD leaders are telling us to run toward the "fiscal cliff" as budget cuts drive away educators and families. What if, instead, we invest the district's massive reserve fund to build a bridge to a better future?

10.02.2026 20:37 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Whole lotta misogyny in these anti educators union posts. The expectation that educators and children should suffer and be grateful for crumbs just screams unresolved mommy issues among the rise and grind class, just saying

Every day on the line is a craft project we won't get to do this year ๐ญ
Also Garry please prompt the AI better, that teacher's outfit is a crime against fashion. Go all in! Make the teacher a blue-haired radical holding a trans pride flag and wearing a shirt with a hammer and sickle on it, both because that's what scares you and because that teacher would look bad ass
