I can tell youโ€™re an established, experienced author with the vital inclusion of that comma at the end of your post.

A big difference between โ€œword, weinersโ€ and โ€œword weiners.โ€

But regardless, Google deserves neither your words nor your word weiners.

Ex-Giants manager Bruce Bochy finalizing deal to return to San Francisco as special assistant Bochy, who won three of his four World Series titles managing the Giants, will be back in San Francisco, where he managed for 13 seasons.

Future HOF manager Bruce Bochy tells me he's content with taking the uniform off and rejoining the Giants in an advisory role. It took just 90 minutes at a Nashville restaurant with Tony Vitello to convince Bochy that Buster Posey made a smart hire to manage. www.nytimes.com/athletic/678...

Or we could spend nothing on curing anything, let disease decimate the population, and then everyone left can live in a mansion and use jet skis for their commute (society is on the ocean in this hypothetical).

Think about it.

90% chance your suffering ends.

10% chance youโ€™re a jet ski God.

Amazon is helping fund a $300 million build of a ballroom for the White House.

Independent bookstores are donating to food banks and organizations that help with food insecurity.

They are not the same.

You know what makes me sad? Injustice.

I guess Iโ€™m just really deep, and I care about stuff super a lot, and that probably makes me a real good person whoโ€™s deep and cares a lot and is good. Iโ€™m also pretty humble and proud to be so good and brave

Perhaps I missed something. But after processing & accepting the fact that this movie isnโ€™t going to sink its teeth into substance, I had a blast But as I digest, I feel like this is a movie that couldnโ€™t resist showing some selective โ€œthis is how to ask for progress the right wayโ€ naivety

28.09.2025 23:54 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

But after stepping around things like killing an innocent in a vague revolutionary bank robbery & showing a false-flag government agent tossing a Molotov cocktail at a peaceful protest to justify law enforcement escalation, it ends with โ€œlet the kids gather in Oaklandโ€ and โ€œmaybe theyโ€™ll fix shit.โ€

28.09.2025 23:48 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

The movie doesnโ€™t have an interest in depth, eschewing examinations of collateral damage and the cost of actually enacting change. Thatโ€™s fine. A movie can use hefty topics as a backdrop to tell a surface-level story (and it does so very well for most of the run time)

One Battle After Another

Slick, fun, exciting, & well acted.

It doesnโ€™t want to look beneath the surface (and thatโ€™s okay) about its content, but the end seems to say โ€œHope! The youths can change things via peaceful protestโ€ as if it didnโ€™t show protesting fall short.

Klein: โ€œI want these results regardless of tacticsโ€
Coates: โ€œI will do good things regardless of results.โ€ Reminded of C Hedgesโ€™ quote โ€œI donโ€™t fight fascists cuz I will win. I fight them because they r fascists.โ€ BUT: more ppl who act accordingly, better shape we wind up in. So, not fatalistic!

New California Law Puts Anti-ICE Enforcement on Schools. Educators Want More Backup The burden is on teachers and principals to turn away federal agents. That will require training, resources, and perhaps a lot of legal help.

๐ŸŽ’ NEW, SCHOOLS & ICE: If ICE agents show up at SF schools, staff must turn them away. What if agents refuse? There is state/local assurance of help. But there's a difference, say some educators, between having a policy and a plan, @taybarton.bsky.social reports. thefrisc.com/new-californ...

In the last few days, we've assembled independent theatres in LA, New York, San Francisco, Minneapolis and Chicago to air this thing.

Jeffrey Epstein: Bad Pedophile will be in theatres on October 2nd after all, followed by the first theatrical screening of Sex House. It is going to be fun as hell.

The Jeffrey Epstein: Bad Pedophile title screen

A very big Onion announcement:

The Onion has spent the last two months working on a masterpiece.

It's a documentary titled Jeffrey Epstein: Bad Pedophile.

It's so good, in fact, we were set to release it in theatres nationwide on October 2nd.

Then two weeks ago, Charlie Kirk was shot.

No words. I believed in Ryan. We moved to Oklahoma because he promised that my awful sons Enigmus Rex and Pance would be given handguns in kindergarten and then not be given any instruction on how to use them safely. I bought a shitty gray house in Tulsa because he promised they wouldn't be woke.

Ezra Klein and Gavin Newsome's strategy of appeasement is what leads to the far right. Folding on reproductive or trans rights to try and win elections normalizes those positions as moderate rather than extreme

Abortion is literally Democrats' strongest issue with the widest appeal! This is constantly born out in polling, referendum results, and the results of elections where Democrats focus on abortion!

There is no actual evidentiary basis for "compromising" on abortion, it's just what Twitter says!
