Incredible news from merry old England overnight. Looks like a glimmer of hope for the future of the country still remains. ππΌ

27.02.2026 00:50 β π 49 π 8 π¬ 2 π 2Knew this would be the case but to see a Champions League last-16 draw in which 6 of 8 ties contains an English team is properly deflating. For fans of English teams, this used to be a competition full of mystique and fresh, exciting challenges. Itβs now basically Premier League 2 with some invites.
27.02.2026 11:44 β π 33 π 2 π¬ 3 π 2Iβve not been either, first time I heard about it was in your blog. Itβs on the list though (for when I next come back to the UK).
26.02.2026 20:45 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Probably a good thing that The Kilpin pub wasnβt around when I was at uni up there, I donβt think Iβd have got much work done!

26.02.2026 11:02 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Apologies for the delay in posting this, but Iβve only just stopped laughing.
25.02.2026 06:16 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Just needs a βthank you for your attention to this matter!β at the end to make the transition complete.

24.02.2026 02:05 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Charcoal barbies are a massive faff but by God theyβre worth it.
21.02.2026 09:49 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Me neither until this week. The beach is right there and there are plenty of good eateries and drinkeries around. The hotel we stayed at reminded me of one of those classic old English grand seaside hotels you see in Poirot. Highly recommend heading up there if you can, just under 2 hours from SYD.
21.02.2026 09:47 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Couldnβt have put it better myself.
21.02.2026 09:44 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Iβll never, ever get bored of an Australian sunrise over the ocean. Feel so blessed to be able to witness them.
21.02.2026 01:58 β π 27 π 3 π¬ 1 π 0Beyond. I just canβt stand to look at his shit-eating grin whenever he does something dumb like this (which is often).
21.02.2026 01:55 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yeah they brought us up to Terrigal for a few days. Lovely little spot, far too nice to be actually working in!
21.02.2026 01:54 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Itβs ok, not as good as I was hoping. Itβs written in a travel journal style that could easily have just been a blog. I like the concept, but the execution has so far been a bit underwhelming.
21.02.2026 01:52 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This charlatan needs to go ASAP.
19.02.2026 20:02 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I regularly see people wondering how it's possible that there are so many musicians and writers and film makers and artists from a tiny nation like Iceland.
And the answer is really simple: State funding for art education and artists. I literally get a salary from the government to write books.
London red phone box
Happy 100th birthday to the iconic red public phone box designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott.
He also designed the Battersea power station.

Managed to find a crafty bar in a small NSW town before the work conference starts. Forgot about stupidly small beers up here though.
18.02.2026 07:29 β π 7 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Incredible to think that the marketing bods didnβt believe that 1842 represented enough historical heritage.
14.02.2026 12:09 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yep that about sums it up. Donβt they have a hotel up there as well?
14.02.2026 12:05 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Letβs hope not. Itβs a fairly big site, whatever it becomes next needs to make it work or it could be an expensive mistake. That pocket needs a decent beer spot.
14.02.2026 12:04 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Interesting, I never knew that. However from that I understand Beer Deluxe has gone massively downhill recently, thatβs not to say it wonβt succeed at Pentridge though. Would love a smaller brewery to take it over.
14.02.2026 10:59 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0At last! Their Pentridge outlet primed for Moon Dog or (please God) Hawkers to step in and take over?
